Geonex HZR610 Horizontal Drilling Rig

The Geonex HZR610 is a powerful and adaptable horizontal boring rig for large-diameter casing installations. Supporting diameters from Ø219.1 mm to Ø812.8 mm, it’s built to deliver high torque and reliable accuracy in longer crossings and heavier ground conditions. Whether you’re boring beneath highways, railways, rivers, or industrial zones, the HZR610 combines force, control, and versatility in one robust system.

The Benefits of the HZR400

Large Diameter Capability with Control

HZR610 fills the gap between mid-size and mega-capacity rigs. With support for casing sizes up to Ø812.8 mm, it allows contractors to take on more complex installations without the need for oversized machines. The rig is equipped with high feed force, multiple rotation gears, and remote-controlled hydraulic alignment for precise entry—even on uneven surfaces.

Designed for Long Bores and Difficult Soils

From urban utility corridors to mountain crossings, the HZR610 delivers dependable results in variable ground. It performs consistently through boulders, backfill, fractured rock, and transitions—keeping productivity high without sacrificing control. It’s especially suitable for pit-to-pit crossings where length and alignment must be maintained.

Power Pack Options for HZR610

The HZR610 is powered by the Geonex PP205 power pack, a high-output diesel-driven unit with integrated air system and remote control functionality. With multiple hydraulic circuits and rugged construction, the PP205 supports the rig’s torque and feed requirements even in continuous heavy-duty use. Optional frame extensions and auxiliary modules expand its application range further.

Wide range of drilling equipment

Geonex offers a full suite of tooling for the HZR610, including DTH hammers, pilot bits, ring bits, augers, and hole openers—covering casing sizes from Ø219 mm to Ø812 mm. The modular tool system allows fast adaptation between bores, reducing idle time and making the HZR610 a highly flexible platform for changing project needs.
